After day two at Car Craft RSE, the Schwartz Vega is now leading the autocross by .01, and tied for 1st in the lauch box, I have to hit the dyno by 11am tomorrow, gonna open the bottle and hope for the best.
The primary competition is my friend Randy Johnson of D & Z Customs, who won this event with his Schwartz Chassis equipped 66 Chevelle in 2008.
He's running a 2nd gen Camaro with Heidts stuff and IRS with a supercharged LS, he put down 604 hp to the wheels today and is leading that category.
There's also a real fast blue 69 Chevelle, top 3 cars are are less than 3 tenths of a second apart.

I follow the F/T Schwartz Vega cause I love what Jeff has done with this one.
Here's a pic of The F/T Schwartz Vega from Day 1, harvested from Car Craft's website:
First of all I'd like to thank Jeff for putting up a great fight. The last thing you want to do is go into a compitition & have no compitition! Jeff did a great job driving the Vega (which is no slouch). I also would like to thank the crowd that gathered around to cheer us on, that was great & really gets you pumped up.
Randy, it was an honor to compete against someone so friendly and competitive at the same time. If we had to lose, I'm glad it was to you!
Oh and jon72vega, that picture you harvested is of me driving LOL. That was my first EVER autocross run and I used a little too much throttle coming out of the first turn and looped it. I came back in my second run and ran a 44.400. Not too bad for never having auto-crossed before!
The little Vega seems like it would be fun to drift, if we ever got into that stuff too!
