Met a pro-touring "legend" today

So after the dentist appt for 2 of my kids, I decide to take them out to lunch before returning to school. We head over to Buffalo Wild Wings in Winchester, VA, and as I pull into the parking lot, I notice a lowered, blue 2010 Camaro SS with "DSE Test Car" in white letters across the top of the windshield. I look around the lot and didn't see any other DSE cars, but I thought cool, a DSE rep must be visiting the area, maybe checking out a potential vendor for their products.

So we go inside, and I sit near a guy with an "Optima Challenge" shirt on, knowing this has to be the driver of the Camaro. So after he finishes his sandwich, I ask him if that's his Camaro, and it turns out that it's Kyle Tucker, owner of DSE! I was floored! We talked for about 20-30 minutes about my project and his ongoing projects. What a really nice and friendly guy. Turns out that he and Mark Steilow used to race at my local track (Summit Point Raceway - 3 miles from me) back in the early '90's.

He was on his way up to the Poconos (PA) for a Goodguys event, and just happened to stop there for lunch (which is a couple miles off of the interstate). What are the chances? I couldn't wait to get back here and tell all about it. I'm still all giddy about it...makes me want to go tear into the car some more!

Kyle, it was nice meeting you again. I'll be sure to stop in when I make it down to NC.
