Thats a Good one. I wonder if they'll find my 650 Triumph Bonneville they stole in 1973? hmmmm.

Theres more to that story. When the original owner was contacted by the AT officer they thought it was a prank and hang up. They had a local officer go out there and assure her it was real, at which point the owner said "its just an old car and not worth her time", then the CHP officer sent her pictures of the car which had undergone a total restoration, and she was interested again

I wonder if there are any companies that sell title insurance for cars?

Edit: I found one called Title Guard, but they are a First American company, and after my experience with First American Home Warranty, I wouldn't pay them a nickle if my life depended on it.
