Default 1st Gen 12 Bolt For Sale

I have a 12 bolt out of my 68 Camaro for sale. I was about to cut it up for my mini tubs and decided to talk to Frank at Prodigy Customs about it. He ran the numbers and it appears that the rear end came out of a 67 SS396 Camaro. The rear end was given to me about 20 years ago when I first restored my car. We did remove it from a stripped down 67 Camaro that had SS badges, but I never thought to run the VIN numbers on the car.

Anyway, the rear end was an original positive traction unit with 3.07 gears when I brought it home (still has the posi unit in it). I changed the gears to a 3.73 and drove it a while. About 8 years ago, I decided to freshen it up and put in a set of new Moser axles, a set of GM 4.56 gears, and all new bearings, gaskets, seals, and drum brakes. The rebuilt unit has maybe 3500 miles on it. I cleaned it up last week and sprayed 3 coats of semi gloss black on it. It's set up for mono leaf springs and I will give the leafs away with it along with a new set of poly leaf pads. The rear brake line is included along with parking brake cables. All it needs is oil.

Asking $1500 plus shipping. The crate weighs 403 lbs. I'm located in Baton Rouge, Louisisna.

Chris

I'm guessing after 1 1/2+ years it's gone, but it doesn't hurt to ask........

Sorry, but I haven't been on the site for quite sometime now. I actually sold it yesterday to go a guy in my local area.
