Default Project "II D-Max" udated 10/19/09

This is a car we are putting together for a previous customer, owner of the flat black twin turbo chevy II nova featured in car craft Dec 08 we built, for next years 2010 Hot Rod Power tour.

Car is an ALL ORIGINAL 1 of 20 Aztec bronze 66 chevy II Nova wagon factory v8 car. Car came from Cali and is 100% rust free and is a NICE car to start this kickass project with.

We are building this for a cruiser only. Not going to try to set the world on fire, just cover it in black smoke .

Few specs on the project..
-Motor is an 06 LBZ Duramax all stock, we may put twins on it for looks although the stock charger will make more than enough power.
-417 Intake plenum
-Air ride technologies air ride kit
-Air ride technologies triangular 4 link
-Lincoln Versie 9" with 2.70 rear gears
-built 4l80e trans with 2500conv
-stock PCM and harness reworked by me and tuned by red devil.
- ALL STOCK interior including bench seat

Here are a few pics

starting to get the motor stripped down...

STAY TUNED!!!!

I am going to be following this one. How come your not using the 6-speed Allison trans?

They are just to big... the diameter stays almost the same size from the conveter to the tail housing. He also had this one laying there not doing anything... FREEBIE

True, they are very large transmissions..... and you can't beat the price of the 4L80E.

I am sure either way, you will get some awesome gas mileage with tons of power and torque.
