Default Duh! Type question, but need paint color ideas Firebird vert 68

I am starting on this project and as I am starting to strip the car, I am starting to debate highly on a paint color idea for the Firebird.

The plans are for a nice and subtle color that will hopefully not look dated within a year (or as soon as the car drives out of the paint booth

The interior is red, and I am actually planning to keep it that way as it has already been redone and looks new aside form the carpet. I normally lean towards gray, silver, and gunmetal or black colors, so am thinking along those lines, but hey there is a colorful world there so may be time to step out to something a bit different. I am also open to ideas on the wheels, but most likely will not be shinny chrome

The suspension will be air ride with plans for 18's all around or 18-20 combo, 400 hood.

here are a few pics of the bird, ideas greatly appreciated, thanks!

With a red interior, I'd do a white or a silver exterior.

Black only if the bodywork is going to be perfect and you don't mind the upkeep.

In my opinion, two tone always adds alot. Black over red with some black accents to the red interior?

Here's a couple of beautiful two tone paint jobs I seen at the GoodGuys show in Joliet. Paint like this just makes my mouth water.

That car can pull off a nice white. I'd go with that.

Good Luck!

Black silver or white. I vote silver on red interior. Take a look at Chris' old camaro. (youthpastor)....silver w/red int. Classic, great combo. It will never be outdated.

Guys, thanks, I am digging though more ideas. I have seen a few birds with dual tone paint and dig that.

I currently have a silver Firebird (400), so most likelly not the same silver color, leaning more towards a gunmetal, but am thinking the red interior with silver could come out amazing.

Pic of my 67 400, silver, nothing fancy but gets the job done

I am thinking a few tones darker.
