Default Finally made it to the track

Our local track had a charity event today. It was put on by Bikers for Babies for the March of Dimes. They had an autox track set up and they had the drag strip open. It was only a $15 entry which included lunch and it was $20 to autox and run down the drag strip.

It was the first time a have ever autocrossed and it was a blast. I only got four runs in before my 18 month old decided it was time to go. My runs were 1.02.5, 58.05, 56.6, and a 54.95. The two fastest cars there were running 47-48 second times. They looked to be fully prepped track cars. One was a spec miata and the other was an STI. I'm not sure how my times were vs the rest of the field, but they felt pretty good.

I only had time to make two passes down the drag strip. My first pass was a 12.69 @114 and the second was a 12.4 @114.

My buddy is suppose to be sending me video from the autocross later today. I'll post them up when I get them.

you're in the 11's with a good launch. Your 60 ft's are hurting you. Congrats!

Thanks, I was really surprised to see a 12.69 with a 60 that bad after the first run. I guess my Kumho's just weren't made to hook at the track. Maybe next summer I can get myself a drag pack together that will clear my brakes.

Nice! You get the 60' down in the 1.50 range, it will go mid/low 11's @ 118-120.

With a decent hook will go 11.7-11.8 range with the 114 trap speed. Whats the motor combo??

It is pretty much a cam only(228/232 .588 .574 on a 112) LQ9 short block and T56. It has an LS6 intake, comp 918 springs, ported throttle body, hooker 1 3/4 headers, and 3 inch exhaust. It dyno'd at 400rwhp 380rwtq on a dynojet with the stock 10 bolt and 4.11's. It has a Moser 12 with 3.73's in it now. The Moser was ordered with 4.11's, but it came with 3.73's... I'm shifting into 4th after the 1000 foot mark and only crossing the line at 5400 rpms.

I picked up two 04-06 GTO spare wheels to use for skinny on the front and I'm looking for some cheap rear wheels to throw drag radials on. It seems a lot of the vette guys are using these GTO spares. They are a 17x4 cast aluminum 5 spoke wheel that looks pretty good and more importantly they clear most bigger brake set ups.

It was 76 and really humid here yesterday. I'm hoping with some cooler weather and some good tires it will go 11.99 or better.

Nice runing set up! Runs very similar to my old combo(sbc). It went a best of 11.82 at 115.8. This was with a crappy 1.81 60 foot time.
