Default Billet bonnet hinges missing

Cut a long story short, I paid a guy Matt Norton at Socalstreetrods money for a set of new billet hinges and he agreed to send it to my shipping agent in Wilmington California. My shipping agent tells me that they never received the goods. After numerous emails to this guy, he finally replies and tells me that he sent it directly to my address here in Australia and that he did not put a tracking number on it due to the cost. $55 was what he paid and it would of been $200 with tracking number. These are billet aluminum hinges that weigh next to nothing. So now he says that he can supply another set at half the price. I just want my money back, which wont happen. He wont reply to my emails so there is not much I can do from my end, except warn you guys about him and his business. He probably did'nt send them at all, who knows...

There's no probably to it...he didn't. Especially, knowing you were in Austrailia, he figured he could get away with it. As far as the tracking number, he should have gave you the option to pay for it. No matter if it was extra or not. Anyway, not to sound negative about it. Just my $.02. I hope you get them. Nevertheless, buy from Ringbrothers or Fesler and you shouldn't have this problem in the future.

WE ship to Austrailia more and more, just sent a HUGE 80" x 48" 60" 800 lb complete suspension and body parts and tires and and, it didn't cost more that 600$ it did take some time 8 weeks on the ship and it took us a couple months to consolidate the parts. if your looking for some help getting parts let me know.
we have another huge order gong to Dubai in a wek or so and so far no issues.
hope you find your hinges

I think I might have opened up a can of worms (angry from the last guy who ripped me off) so I have removed that sentence as I have a huge amount of money riding on these parts and out of fear of being ripped off again, I am gonna nip this in the bud because I know he reads these forums. I can live with losing $375 but not what I have paid the latter.

grubs,
While I can relate to your frustrations, I tried to look this guy up on the web and the shop Socalstreetrods with no luck other than http://www.socalstreetrods.com/Home_Page.html
If this is the site, there are red flags all over this site.
Very slow site, Not much content, one general email address, No contact name, No address, no phone numbers ext....

Waiting a year and a half for some parts?

I see that they sell on eBay too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/67-69-Camaro...-/110750653087
If you bought it through that channel you have some leverage then. You will need to file a dispute there. http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/item-not-received.html

Or if you have any of that information one might consider a vacation to the USA and make it personal.

FWIW,
I had a similar story a few years ago. Now I'm not a bad ass by any means but I was dammed that I was going to be taken for. Found all kinds of information on the web pertaining my deadbeat. He ignored phone calls and responses to emails.
When I shared in a email to him the information I had gathered as to his whereabouts, employment ext..and was planning a flight to make a personal visit to him stating at that point it was not about the money anymore, it's the principal of the matter, He responded very quickly and was all too apologetic throwing several BS stories out and so on.
I told him to just send my money back and we will call it good.
He actually did send me back all my money and to my surprise he also sent the items I was to purchase from him.
I guess in my case I got lucky.

Good luck!
