Default My 68 charger

Alright it has been a pretty good while since I posted anything about myself and my car.
Aside from being deployed for about 2 1/2 years, I had other personel issues I had to deal with.
I would like to thank Jason over at Gearhead garage, for putting up with me, and taking car of my car. He and his crew at his shop did quit a bit of work for me on the car.

Again, it is a 68 charger, big block 383 with a D1SC procharger, and intercooler. Custom one off headers, that are going to be hooked up to a nascar style exh, out of the drivers side. KB ext oil system, low profile 10 q oil pan made by me, all Aeromotive fuel system. And all machine work done by Joe Huffeker Racing out of Sears Point- Infinion.
For now it will have the 727 auto, with a B+M billet shifter. I am still not sure what route I am going with a new trans. But more then likley it will be 4or 5 speed auto.

Suspension wise, upper and lower tubular front control arms, torsion bar style sway bar, rack in pinion stearing built and designed by me, to use a GM L body rack, 1.25' torsion bars, modded stock k member, seem welded.

Custom frame connectors that tie into and re-enforce the torsion bar mounts. An old set of mopar race rear leaf springs, going to use QA1 double adj shocks, with in car controler, WHEN IT COMES OUT.
Wilwood brakes on all for corners, 6 piston 13" rotors front, 12.19" 4 piston rear. Ans last but not least, Weld 17x10 rear, 17x8 from Zetas. These are a kind of old set but, I really like the way they look on my car.

Now that I am home for good, and my car is going to be right here at home with me, I am going to try and spend every free minute getting this thing ready to fire up, and paint. Posting some pics also. I have decided to change a few small things from the rendering, like having it sit better-lower, and of course the front spoiler is not going to be that big. As of right now, I just have to install the power steering pump and res, oil cooler and lines and cooler, adj the valves, and fire it up..

I am still at cross roads with the interior on what I am going to use for seats, and color. Will post more updates once I get my

Default more pics.

Here a few more. The exh is going to be modified to work with the Nascar style 2 into 2 Flowmaster muffler. I know chambered mufler with forced induction are not supposed to go with each other but, I really dont see anything else that will work with this exh.

Manny, good to see you posting again! Car looks great man...

And I have a feeling you bought one of the other Boom Tube exhausts from the same ebay seller I got mine from.... he had like 5 or 6 in November when I got mine. Did you get yours from Race Proven Parts?

Can't wait to see it all come together.
