Default B&M Hammer Auto Shifter 80885, w/ custom console plate for ‘68-‘69 Camaro

SOLD

Up for sale is a B&M Hammer shifter, part # 80885, for a 3spd or 4spd automatic. Included is a custom center console plate for the stock center console of ’68 or ’69 Camaro. Of course, this shifter can be used in many different vehicles and you simply don’t have to use the included console plate and/or you could create your own. As you can see in the photos, it’s a great looking shifter with the included leather boot and plate and can be made to look right at home in a console. I only used it for 3800 miles on my 200 4R and it still looks basically new. It could be a nice upgrade for someone, both in function and appearance. The only reason I’m selling it is because I’m switching to a manual transmission(which I may regret later on want this setup back). All of the original packaging, instructions, and parts are included.

Complete details about this shifter can be found here:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BMM-80885/

Summit’s current price for this unit is $160 and a stock console plate usually runs around $34-$43. My price for everything is $115 + shipping. The company I work for gets a great rate with UPS ground so the shipping shouldn’t be too much within the US(determined by your zipcode). Yes, I will ship international and can specify ‘Gift less than $75’ to avoid import fees. I prefer using PayPal for payment.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Brett. I took a stock automatic plate(about $40), cut out most of the inside and removed the 'wood' faux finish so I was left with just the chrome border and a little extra material along the inside to create a 'ledge'. I then cut a piece of sheet metal to fit the center section, cut a hole in the sheet metal piece to accept the plastic B&M part and leather boot(those 2 parts came with the shifter) and allowed enough room for the shifter to travel. I then painted the metal insert to match my forward plate and dash color and epoxied that to the chrome trim ring. The plastic part just pops into the sheet metal insert with some tabs and I added a little epoxy to secure it better. Creating one isn't too difficult if you have your shifter bolted in the right location and you account for full shifter travel.
