Default My new project!!

OK some of you may remember I was going back and forth between a 77 Caprice coupe and a 77 Firebird, well as things would have it I got a call from a guy that I had been talking to for over a year about a car that i had wanted.
Well the guy finally called me up the night before I was going to buy the Firebird and he asked "hey you still want to buy my car?" I said well depends on the price, so to make a long story short, we struck a SWEET deal that I couldn't refuse and I had the tow truck there within 45 minutes!

So I get the car home and start to go thru it, and I knew already a few things that it needed and whatnot, the original motor and interior was removed (389 Pontiac motor w/2bbl carb and a SBC was installed in its place along with 350 trans. The interior was removed and a set of Oldsmobile electric seats were installed (which will be replaced by a set of buckets.

The car came with factory power windows which work well, I am pretty happy with it, my plans are to make a nice cruiser with 20/22 wheel combo shaved handles, upgrade SBC to LS1vintage air, remove trim, re-chrome bumpers, modify rear end lights to accept 63 impala LED tail lights, and add air ride suspension.

I will update as I go along with the build, here she is my 61 Pontiac Bonneville Bubble top....

You gotta make that trunk into a hot tub. I could swim laps around in that thing as big as it is. You could fit 10 people in there sneaking into the drive-in

Wow, great score! I've been obsessed with bubble tops lately and that's one of my favorites. I'll definitely be watching this project!
