Default Time for new axles and rear center section

I have some brand new Moser 31 spline but I decided on adding forced induction to my LS3. Nothing too crazy. Looking at around 600HP or so.

Question is will my 31 splines hold up or should I sell these things and get 33 or 35 spline? Need to decide now before I order the third member. Rear is a Fab9.

Also, I need some suggestions on a third member. Not sure which gear ratio I should be running. Has a T56

Unless you are dropping the clutch at high rpm on drag slicks the 31 spline axles should be fine.

Gearing depends on which t56 close ratio or wide ratio, rear tire height and torque peak of your motor. The wide ratio T56 has a low first and a high 6th so if you ask me no gear makes sense.

Here is one good gear calculator.

31 spline will be fine. with street tires. or even drag radials,
i used to have a 600 hp Big Block Ford drag car with 14x 32 rear tires and a tans brake
IT had 28 Spline Strange axles in it for 4 year till i decided to look at them , there was 4 splines of twist in them but never broke.

Save your money.

Thanks guys looks like I will save the money. I don't plan on drag racing my car.

As far as close ratio T56 I have no idea. It is a stock T56 from a 2000 Camaro

I was thinking a 3.70 gear tracloc should be fine right?

Or should I get a spool?

According to DDperformance's website, the 98 thru 02 camaro T56 ratio's are:

2.66/1.78/1.30/1.00/.74/.50

First gear is like the close ratio in the calculator and 6th is way high.

You could run 3.90 rear and still do 72 @ 1800rpm with a 345 30 18 rear tire. The 2.66 first gear with 3.90 would be like having 4.10 with a T10.

How tall a rear tire do you have. Light or heavy flywheel?

Don't go spool or tracloc how about a truetrac.

With a light flywheel and 27" tall tire you may like a 4.10 better. Here is another calculator. Choose SN197 2.66 for the trans the gear ratios are the same as yours. Shifting at 2500 puts you at 20mph in first with 4.10s. It would be easy to drive stop n go with the lower gear and with the .5 od you still don't pull a lot of rpm in 6th.
