Default 1950 Buick chassis and suspension

Hello Guys, this may sound wired but this is what im building. I start my new project is a 1950 Buick Super Convertible. I use a 1995 suburban chassis, I already adapt the chassis to the car, but now im thinking on what to do to lower the car I was thinkin on using Air suspension, is that a good idea? the car will handle good like a normal suspension? Im going to install a LS1 engine, and I already install the rear suspension that I took from a 98 camaro.

thanks for the advices.
