You can either have the trans disassembled and converted over to a 2wd pickup style unit with a traditional tailshaft (or sell it and get a 2wd pickup unit). Alternatively, you can set up crossmember that accepts a slip yoke style carrier bearing along with a 2 pc driveshaft. That might sound wonky,

but any local driveshaft shop should be able to accommodate that solution. Also, the 2 pc driveshaft solution can sometimes help resolve pinion angle problems.
