Default Roadster Shop REVO IFS

We are proud to announce the launch of our all new REVO IFS suspension.

REVO IFS is a new standard. To create a new standard we had to start from scratch. REVO has been created from the ground up, leaving behind the antiquated Mustang II geometry and ride quality where it firmly belongs: in the past.

Controlled roll centers, eliminated bump steer, and CAD optimized camber and caster curves provide a suspension that offers the absolute best combination of ride quality and street performance. With 5.5” of wheel travel and positive and negative bump stops, the REVO front end allows smooth articulation through the full range of motion, creating the most comfortable, balanced and street friendly dynamics possible within this package.

A new and innovative integrated sway bar design allows the use of a 1” OD splined sway bar tube, with no external mounting necessary. The carefully designed packaging leaves one of the smallest crossmember footprints available today, leaving you with more room and clearance to position your drivetrain where you want it without compromise.

The REVO front end has been designed from scratch using the latest CAD development software and design processes. 115 unique components were designed and manufactured for this suspension, allowing a fresh design template to build the ultimate IFS without compromise. Keeping with the latest manufacturing processes to raise quality while controlling costs; laser, plasma, CNC milling and turning are all employed in the manufacturing of these components. With a years’ worth of in house development, the REVO IFS has been fine-tuned and streamlined to redefine the standard for street performance suspension.

The REVO IFS will be offered as direct fit crossmembers for:
  • 1947-54 Chevy trucks
  • 1955-59 Chevy trucks
  • 1953-56 Ford trucks
  • Universal IFS packages for custom applications with a 29” inside frame rail dimension.

The REVO IFS will also be standard on the following Roadster Shop chassis:
  • 1947-54 Chevy trucks
  • 1955-59 Chevy trucks
  • 1960-66 Chevy C10 trucks (Also available with Fast Track IFS)
  • 1967-72 Chevy C10 trucks (Also available with Fast Track IFS)
  • 1953-56 Ford trucks
  • 1949-54 Chevy Car
  • 1955-57 Chevy Car (Also available with Fast Track IFS)
  • Custom Chassis

Part Highlights:
  • Delrin Bushings: Less compliant than rubber bushings that fail over time with normal use, yet compliant enough to ensure a comfortable ride by eliminating unwanted road feedback through the suspension.
  • 1 ¼” Upper Control Arm Tubes, 1 5/8” Lower Tubes: Heavy duty control arm tube’s won’t deflect under heavy loads, and keep the suspension’s geometry intact over all aspects of driving. 3/16” and ¼” thick TIG welded gussets ensure rigid connections to the coilovers and sway bay components maintaining structural consistency under load.
  • Wilwood Pro Spindles: Available with either a stock height or 2” drop configuration to suit specific ride height desires. Forged construction makes them three times stronger than comparable cast spindles and advanced geometry gives improved handling. Along with Wilwood’s reputation for quality, this make the Pro Spindle the perfect fit for the REVO IFS. Brake options are also available to meet all needs. A vast line of brake systems are available from 11” to 14” diameters. The Pro Spindles also allow the use of 15” wheels, and are strong enough to accommodate the larger brakes and wheels desired in today’s market.
  • 1” OD, .095” Wall splined sway bar: High grade spring steel is used to make these sway bars hold a more consistent spring rate, and they won’t plastically deform like convention bent tube sway bars.
  • Lower Eccentric Control Arm Bolts: Aligning your front end has been made faster and easier through the use of the four eccentric bolts on the lower control arms. Aligning the front end through the lower control arm makes access easier and setup requirements smaller, allowing your vehicle to simply drive up on your mechanic’s lift without the need to remove the wheels, inner fenders, or any of the control arm bolts.
  • The standard coilover shock selected for the REVO IFS is the Afco pro-touring series based on their proven performance and ride quality. A non-adjustable shock is included with the base kit, but upgrades are available to single and double adjustable. For those who are looking for the ultimate in performance and ride quality, the Roadster Shop has teamed up with Penske Racing Shocks and has developed a specific valved shock for our suspension. This will be offered in double adjustable and remote reservoir set ups for those looking for the pinnacle in performance coilovers.

Additional Part Information:
  • Modular 1 piece crossmember design takes the guess work out of installation in a stock frame and ensures that all suspension geometry remains correct.
  • C6 End Links for Sway Bar – OEM level performance and quality that yields a quiet, maintenance free part for the life of your suspension.
  • Close Ratio Power Rack and Pinion Steering
  • 57.75” Track Width with standard 11” Brakes
  • Made in USA, Moog ball joints and Timken bearings
  • Grade 8 Plated Hardware
  • 11” disc brakes with Wilwood calipers
  • Double shear mounting on all components

Good stuff RShop! I'm curious why you went with a Wilwood spindle vs the c6 you've been using?

Hey Ron, my guess is given the nature of the various applications the C6 spindle wouldn't be ideal for wheel offset or size. There are some people out there (probably similar to Rob - if that gives any indication) that might want a set of 17" smooth lip Intros on their cars and would be heartbroken to hear that they would have choose between the ICON IFS or INTRO wheels.

Thanks! Good question: mainly packaging. While our FAST TRACK performance suspension does employ the C6 spindle, it eliminates the use of smaller wheels. With REVO, we created a setup for those who are looking at keeping smaller diameter wheels and more focused on ride comfort, cruising and good handling.

The customer who runs REVO will not necessarily be autocrossing their vehicle (although with this setup, still highly do-able) and as such doesn't require the big brakes and aggressive wheel/tire sizes possible with the more performance oriented FAST TRACK setup.
