AMD glass is made in Taiwan. Auto City glass is from Thailand. I recently posted on this in the past on sheet metal and glass as well., but I was able to trace the original supplier for AMD and Auto City. Well, my friends Auto City cracked in 6 months, so not sure of the quality. My 67 RS Camaro and Mayhem has Pilkington glass. Pilkington disadvantage is that you are stuck with clear or green.

Yes, I visited the Pilkington warehouse that is located outside Columbus, Ohio. Nice place, and happy with the quality. I bought the green tint glass, and 67 Camaro (Mayhem) has green tint as well.

I've used A LOT of the Auto City glass and know of A LOT of guys that have as well with out any issues.

I've never used the Pilkington glass, so I can't comment on theirs.

Well, a friend has a 1969 Z28 Camaro numbers matching and tried the glass out. The car never moved out of the garage. The glass cracked in 6 months. He replaced with PPG glass and no issues. Another friend had the same problem, but here is the bill of lading from auto city glass. Well, their side glass comes from Taiwan.

Thailand manufacturer.

Not sure what you are trying to say Jeff? I didn't say anything about where they get their glass from?

I just stated a fact that I have personally used and installed over 15 different pieces of glass from Auto City? Not a singal issue! I have lots of friends in the resto industry that have used and still use their glass.

Also the second link you posted, that lading is from 6 years ago, so again not sure what you are trying to prove?

Jeff OP asked a question and I gave him my opinion on my experience on the Auto City glass, that's all.

Jeff, you can also talk with Mike at MuscleRodz he's a site sponsor I believe he has a nice glass kit for a first gen smoked to I believe?

Good idea on picking it up, shipping glass is expensive. We used to order 5 at a time on the windshields as it would bring the cost down.
