Default Mopar engine builders in Los Angeles, CA?

Wasn't sure where to post this and I realize there aren't a ton of mopar folks on this site but figured I'd give it a shot anyways.

I'm looking for a good Mopar engine builder in the LA area. I'm driving from Santa Barbara, CA to Big Bear Lake, CA via HWY 101 and 210 this Thursday and figured it would be a good time to stop by any shops on the route. I'll also be driving from SB to Newport Beach in a week so I'd also like to know of any shops that way. I've already posted this on Mopar specific websites and tried all kinds of internet searches but so far haven't had any luck.

Thanks y'all!
Dave

Not in LA but California at least Mopar Engines West. No personal experience but they seem to get some press not that it means anything. Otherwise call Steve Strope of Pure Visions Designs. He does a fair amount of Mopar builds and could probably recommend someone.

Mopar engines west are great people. Dave and Rich are very knowledgeable and great engine builders that stand behind their work. Dave also has an in house dyno. Dave built me a 496 BBC and lots of motors for friends and everyone has been happy. They always have a waiting list so you may not a motor built ASAP but check them out.

Thanks guys! A friend of mine had an engine built at Mopar Engines West. I haven't contacted them yet but do plan on talking to them.

I managed to stop by QMP on my way to Big Bear. I met Brad, got a quick shop tour and talked about my plans. Seems like a great guy. The shop is very unassuming when you pull up but they have some sweet equipment.

If you are making it down to Orange County, you should also go and talk to Joe at Superior Automotive in Anaheim. They know their Mopars pretty well.

Dave you will not be dissapointed with QMP. I've known Brad for 20 years and many projects. He's never let me down.
