Default 2014 Porsche Cayenne WOW

So I was at one of my customers today, they do mostly highend cars. So they have a 2014 Porsche Cayenne twin turbo 550hp in for some repairs!! I guess it was way to much power for the new owner as it only has 400 miles on it and $15000.00 in damage!!

But here's what got me looking besides the window sticker of $184,000.00

Check out the $8800.00 brakes on this bad boy!!! Carbon Ceramic!! Nice!!!

Yep, those are nice beasts for sure. Almost bought a GTS earlier this summer, but sacrificed a little and ended up in a Trailblazer SS, put a coil-over suspension on it and bam, 22k vs 42k....me like the bow tie....but Porsche's have always done it for me....just cant do it right now with three in college...

Only $8800 for the brakes? I used to work at a shop that developed a carbon ceramic brake kit for the new GTRs and it retailed for $16000. And that was just rotors, hats, and caliper brackets. It reused the factory Brembo calipers.

Nice car for sure, but the price is a tad ridiculous.

And no, they are no longer air cooled. They stopped that with the 993 in the late 90's.

We have one (2013) --- Gwen drives it --- personally I think it's a pig so I don't understand the too much power comment. Yeah 550hp seems like a lot but not given the weight and I don't care for the torque down low either. Compared to my S63 AMG (660 ft lbs of TQ) the Porsche is a big ho hummer....

Having said that --- She ordered a new GTS version for euro delivery yesterday. SHE L O V E S them! Go figure.... tells me it's a soccer Mom's SUV.

The '63's are awesome cars. Musclecar sounds coming from a brute that can dance on the track like a car much smaller and lighter. I love driving the GT2/3 cars, but the '63's are stealty sledge hammers.
