Default if you had to do it again... what would you do

Hey guys,

I'm planning a LSx 6.0 or 5.3 L swap (going this Saturday to talk to the engine guy to see the difference in cost) and a paint job. I want to stand on the shoulders of giants and see what you guys regret doing or forgetting to do. What things would be good to get out of the way during these stages of the build? What do you wish you would have done differently?

The car is a 1966 Chevelle. It has new suspension, 4 wheel discs. it has an interior that will slowly be swapped as budget allows. The bushings have all been replaced. the frame has been blasted and coated with POR15 and all the bodywork is nearly all complete.

Things that are on my list to do during the swap:
shaved firewall
antenna delete
ls6 cam swap
sound deadener and absorber
3 point seatbelts

I'd love to hear from you guys to find out what is more cost effective to do at this stage rather then down the road.

Thanks
