Default Texas shop recommendation . . .

Hey All,

I've got a second gen Camaro in need of panel replacement. Namely roof skin, tail panel, possibly quarters as well.

I plan to blast the body clean in order to get a better idea of the extent of panel replacement required. Ideally, I'd like to find a shop that could/would do both at a reasonable cost.

I live in the Houston area but would load it up and haul it a reasonable distance for the right shop.

Thanks to all in advance for your time.

Joe

Smile Houston area shop

I had a really good experience with my 1969 camaro with Roy and the folks over at Camaro concepts. They are located on the west side of Houston, off of Blalock. http://camaroconcepts.com

Camaro Concepts is a good option and as mentioned located on the west side. They did all the panel replacement on my car.

Another good option that I would highly recommend is GAP. They're a sponsor of the board and located off Clay/Gessner (West/North West side of Houston). They did the panel replacement for friend and fellow board member Tony (Nineball) and did an excellent job.

Both do quality work, I suggest you stop by both as they're near each other and have them quote the project.

I believe both have blasting companies that they prefer but I used a place called Enviroclean to blast my body. They're located on the N. side of houston off Spring Cypress. Owners name is Billy and they did a very good job of blasting and he's been doing it for years.

Welcome!
William

I can second Tim and the crew at GAP. They are completing my 68 camaro now and have been pleased with the work. Check out the link in the sponsor section to the left.
