Default 73 Cuda 17" Rims and Tire Size Recomendations

I work at a Mustang Restoration Shop called Vail's Classic Cars, and recently because of the of the economy we are putting together a resto-mod pro-touring style 73 Cuda.

Powering it will be a 472 Hemi @ 525 HP, with a Keisler Overdrive Automatic Transmission, with a 9" Ford with 3:55 gears bringing up the rear.

The customer wants us toput in a RMS Alterkation K-member up front, and their Street Lynx set up in the rear, using that 9" Ford Rearend.

We just wanted to get an idea on what 17" wheel and tire sizes would work with our application?

The Customer is leaning towards those 17" Billet Style Magnum 500's.

Bill at RMS will know what sizes work best with his suspension setups......at least he does with his Abody stuff.

Please let me know what you guys end up going with and post pictures if you can. I've got a 73 Cuda and picked up some cheap 17x9's for short term till I can figure out exactly what I want. I've found it hard to find a good tire package for the 17's because I want to go as wide as possible and with the big E-Body's I think you need a little bigger diameter tire to fill the wheel well. I agree that going with 18's or 19's would help out with tire selection.

I've got a 3.55 limited slip and 904 automatic for now but plan on changing to an overdrive soon.
