Default FI for olds 455

does anyone know of a kit out or a bolt on intake for a olds 455? i know you can retrofit it to a intake but i wondered if there was one i could just buy and stick on. also if anyone knows the cost that would rock. i want it to clear a stock ram air hood also. thanks.

I don't know of an intake available, but keep in mind that most throttle bodies are between 0.25" and 1.25" shorter than the factory Q-jet (which was 3.25" base-to-air cleaner flange). In other words, you can tolerate a little taller intake.

Call Edelbrock, they have a lot of experiance with the olds 455.

Check out November 2006 CarCraft. (Page 38) Thay have a bolt together Olds 455 build. It is made for a Cutless. Should do high 11's @ about 115 in a 3800 pound car.

500 hp at 5400 rpm
570 ft pounds of torque at 4000 rpm's!!!

Hope this helps.
