Hyd. Roller. Comp XR288. Dont know Spring rate.. T&D Shaft rockers

I changed oil in my engine, I am not sure but I think it was minimum straight 50, ATLEAST in it.... From previous owner, I dont remember what he said, but it was SUPER thick

I now run 10w40 Synthetic, and now the engine sounds like a Mechanical lifter engine. It was sound before too, but not as much.

I dont think there is something wrong, but oh my, how much more sound that comes from it. Maybe the very thick oil Works as an "sound deadener"?

What is others experience on valvetrain noise vs oil type and viscosity?
