Tires, 335 or 345 Michelin pilot

I am wondering on tire sizes. I have 18x10 fronts and 19x12 rears. Car is 69 Camaro with art Morrison chassis and dse tubs. I am thinking of 245/35/18 on the front and 325 or 345/30 19s for the rear. I have right at 14 inches to the qtr lip, I believe the Michelin pilot is 13.8 on a 11.5 wheel. How is this measurement going to change on a 12 wide wheel if any? It's almost on the ground,,, finally.

Problem with the MPS is it has a thick rim protector lip. Almost makes the tire 3/4" wider than it should be.

I would run the 335's just to be safe, the 345 is tall and will sit deeper in the well.
You meant 275's in the front right? Run perfect on a 10.

Thanks Vince, I think I have it figured out. They don't make the MPS in a 335 only 325 or 345. I think I am going to go with the 325. Overall height of the tires it should give the back around a 1" taller and should be a pretty even with the wheel for sidewall. I had a 09 viper that had those tires and I remember the lip protector your talking about. Probaby makes it a little wider as well. Thanks

I'm about at the same point and was looking to run the 325 Pilot Sports. How much room do you need to have between the fender lip and the tire? I haven't decided on 19" rim width. This is for a 69 Firebird, so it should be fairly close to the same as the camaro right?

Depends on your suspension.

My minimums are 1/2" outer and 1 1/2" inside

I have run as close as 3/8" outer and 1" inner but would not recommend it. If at all possible run as much as you can on the inner to avoid driveway rubbing.

I'm running a full ridetech AirRide setup with Musclebar. So you need more clearance between the inner fender and tire? I'll have to measure this evening my actual clearance from the inner fender to the outer fender lip. Since I have the AirRide, I also need to see whether I have enough clearance once I lower the car to the lowest settings without the fenders sitting on the wheelwells.

It looks like I have about 15" from the inner fender to the lip. It looks as though the lips have been attempted to be rolled, but not a lot so if I had to I could maybe attempt to roll them. I'm hoping I have enough room to run some 325's without having any rubbing as we already have the body painted. What do you guys think? As I mentioned its a 69 Firebird with the Chris Alston mini-tubs.
