Default T56 in a 70 Chevelle

I'm currently in the process of fitting a T56 I just bought (from a 99 Camaro) into a 70 Chevelle, so I'm hoping someone on this site has done this before. If not I have questions about bolting it to the 454 big block in the car now. I have ordered the adapter plate from ATS, but now I'm needing to know if I need to change my flywheel to a different one, (it must be externally balanced) will mine fit in the T56's stock bellhousing. Another question is what type of clutch should I run, I'm going with the hydraulic throwout bearing so I'll need that kit too.. Last question for this post is what to do about the cross member, I'm hoping to reuse the stock one with modifications. Someone that's already done this to a 70 Chevelle would be most helpful. Mainly what I'm seeing on this site is 1st gen Camaro's, been there done that. Wanting something else this time.

Thanks Guys, David
