Default Paul Walker huge flash car mob here in Long Beach, CA

Tonight my wife and I made a last minute trip to our local Target here in the LBC (yeah, hot Sat night date, ha ha) to be overwhelmed by masses of cars filling up every parking lot, gas station, and place to park on the side of the street for a half mile stretch down Bellflower Blvd. We headed out of our house around 10pm and it was on. Cops were at intersections trying to control the masses of traffic (read: 20 somethings and mostly tuner cars) however, there was American muscle representing, too. We made our way to Target, did our shopping and had to take the long way home just to get home as the traffic was all but gridlocked going north as cops were trying to push out the unauthorized gatherings. I took this opportunity to get my car and head back out to check it out in more detail. My wife and I drove through again and went back to the same Target where people were filling up the lot. Of course, the mass crowds of young folk turned into engine revving, debauchery and burn outs. Probably not the tribute Paul or his family would have wanted. Here's a few pics but they do not do this massive crowd justice. The entire lot was filled up, the roads getting here were filled up. People had drones out. News and/ or police helicoptors were whirling above. I even saw a guy who trailered his drag car there. It was insane. I'm curious as to how this was even arranged. Cars had to have come in from all over. There was just too many to be local.

Paul walkers death was sad but why not gather for 9-11 in a moment of silence which was just days prior for the hundreds who passed away? Pick a better location then target that won't cause others problems.

Some people's idea of importance I'll never understand.

I worded my question poorly. I had figured this much, I meant specifically how. Was by following "x" group on FB? Or multi platforms? Some underground chatroom, etc. I'm still amazed at just how many people and cars were there. It felt like a movie filming. The news reports today are estimating there were 2,000+ cars here. Obviously folks came in from all over. one would think that the police would have caught wind of this event, yet they were completely unprepared for this.

These were mostly young people. Teens, 20 somethings, etc. They're not at that point in life yet. We only stumbled upon this event by accident, it was so close to our home we could have walked/ biked to it, and it was too huge to ignore.

should have picked a spot in the desert or rented an abandoned air strip for some Race Wars action instead. Disrupting residents isn't a good tribute.
