Default Mounting carbon hood & trunk???

I am starting my last quarter of Composites Manufacturing and the last class is open lab. . .I will be making a 2-pc. clamshell mold of the hood and decklid for my '67 Firebird 400 and then doing a vacuum assisted resin infusion to make them out of carbon fiber. . .

. . .I'm doing the body work on the panels now to make sure they are as perfect as I can get them, but it's time for me to figure out how I'm going to mount them before I start making the molds.

Anybody have much experience with this??? I don't really want to do 4 latches/pins on either of them. . .one it makes it inconvenient to get into the trunk or engine bay, and two it would make removing the hood to get into the engine bay basically a two person operation due to the size of the hood (carbon hood should weigh about 30 pounds. . .about 65 less than the stock hood).

Options are trying to use the stock latches, use the latches (or something similar to) made by Aerocatch, or using hood pins on the hood (I like the look of hood pins, but I don't think they would look good on a decklid). . .the Aerocatches would look fine on a decklid and I'm kinda leaning in that direction. . .

Thanks for your input and suggestions!

Oh, and I am taking pictures of the process. . .I'm waiting till I finish so I can post the process in a short period of time instead of strung out over the next 3 months. . .class ends in late March so the hood and trunk should be finished by then.
