Default My 68 Chevelle Convertible Hits the Streets

My 68 had been deprived of attention, but is now street legal. I guess is it a Rat Rod G-machine for now, and will stay that whay for awhile.

Here are the basics:

502/502 crate motor midly modded
3" Pypes Exhaust
Hughes TH400 and GV Overdrive
12 Bolt with 3.73 Posi
Hotchiks A-Arms and Rear Suspension, QA1's all around with coil overs up front.
Hydroboost, GM cop car brakes up front, discs in back
Flaming river column, Covans Dash, Acura TSX frot and rear seats
Etc.
Stinger fiberglass hood soon to be installed.

I need to name this project one of these days.... any thoughts?

Default hard call on the name

It is such a personal thing. I really dig the car. The next one I do, if I do another, will look about like yours except maybe a solid color...primer

I love the body style of the 68 and 69's and the convertible part puts it over the top.

Primer the thing black and put white stripes on it and call it done. If you want it shinny just clear the primer.

I'm with Payton. Throw some primer on and drive it.

Looks good John, it rode well when I drove it with the 350ci, must be an even better blast now. Hopefully I can take a longer ride in it this time since it's now legal

Default gold would look good

so would red, grey or silver or a gloss black stripe on dull black primer

On vacation, will be back in a couple of weeks and post more pics...

Thinking of matte/flat black with a red 68 SS stripe for now.
