Default 70 Chevelle, T56 is in!!

I just crawled out from under the Chevelle scratching my head, what did I do wrong. After cutting the tunnel out, the T56 slipped right in. Slid the stock Turbo 350 transmission crossmember forward and rested the trans on the crossmember without the bushing and checked the angle and it was perfect. All I have to do now is drop the pad the thickness of the bushing, fabricate a matching pad to line up the bolt holes in the trans and weld it back on. I've been sweating this process for weeks thinking about how much fabricating their might be. I got all this done in about an hour, I'm still in shock at how easy this is going. Maybe I should'nt have said that? I need to get the bushing ordered, what type do ya'll suggest.
As far as the refabricating the tunnel, I'm just sliding the old tunnel hump up the firewall a bit and then it looks like I'll be adding about 3" wide strips of sheet metal along the sides of it, weld, grind and put a DONE stamp on it!

Any pics? I would love to see how wide you made the tunnel cut...

I knew someone might ask for pics, I'll get the digital camera hooked up this weekend and try and post some.
