Default 4L80/TKO 600 Suppliers

Ok, I have received some very good information in different areas so far. Here is a new one. We are considering either a TKO600 5speed or a 4L80e auto. The question of manual or auto we will solve, but I need some good vendor information. There are alot of names out there and just as many different prices. Can you guys give me some reputable sources for each that have fair pricing? There seems to be some wide price ranges for seeming similar products. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chad

Thanks Tim

I will be contacting you. Hopefully this coming week. I had looked at your site, but didn't see any complete tranny vendors. Maybe I just missed it. Thanks.

Anybody else? Still need something on the TKO.

I'm going through this exact scenario as we speak. I purchased a TKO600 setup and decided it wasn't going to handle my recent build. As you can understand, plans change. 555 BBC w/ twin 76mm turbos is just too much torque for the TKO600.

I purchased my kit through Keisler.

For the 4L80E. It really depends on your needs. I prefer a company that can build to suit or has multiple levels of upgrades. They generally know what parts need upgrade and at what power levels.

I'm going through http://www.ckperformance.com/ for a Stage 3 unit. Chris is very knowledgable and has good references. He knows them inside and out. I spoke with alot of "OD Trans" companies, I was a little disappointed with their general lack of knowledge. Most of them are just sales folks on the phone. The other company I spoke with that gave me a good feeling was....

Dennis,

Thanks for the info. I believe we have made some decisions. The 4L80e is going to be the piece. I have been talking with Tim @ PRRC and am going with his vendor, Monster Trans. He spoke highly of the product and he has given me no reason not trust him. If something falls through on your project, give Tim a call.
