Default shop messed up my rims can it be fixed?

Picked up two rims/tires yesterday after having the tires put on them. Several spots along rim are scuffed and scrached next to the bead of the tire. Can I work them out and polish the area back to like new. The rims were take offs from a guy that did not use them but were all most perfect when I took them to the shop. I am not sure what to do. They were not new but they were very nice and now they have marks on them.

they should be able to be fixed. I've had curb marks on aluminum rims before and used wet sand paper and fixed them. What kind of wheels are they?

I have had some rim damage (pothole) and took it to a place in santa ana cal ,they were able to fix it without a clue.

Not sure where you live but if you need the number let me know.
