I also bought mine this weekend from Kyle at "Good Guys at Del Mar". I had seen the car at both the SEMA and the Grand National Roadster Show. I spoke with Troy and he told me that the build cost was $250,000. Quite frankly, my first reaction was that it was kind of high. I figure that either his shop rate had gone up with the new found notoriety or that they were taking advantage of the guy from Hollywood. After I read thought the whole book from cover to cover, I have gotten a new appreciation for the amount of work that went into the car. My new thoughts are now that "I can’t believe that they built it for only $250,000....."

They are coming out with a series of these book. http://buildbookusa.com, I think it's a great niche.

By the way, I have picture for both show, mostly street rods, Scott, if you like, I will e-mail you the pics so that you can post them.

Sure, I'd post those for sure. E-mail them to me and I'll get them uploaded.

Default This is a must have book!

If you have not got this book yet, your crazy for not spending the $15 with DSE or anybody who carries it. I would have gladly paid twice that. It is so detailed, it shows many of the secrets to what it takes to build that calibur of a car. I just waisted all morning at work because I could not put the book down.

On the website you can get the book and a t-shirt for $25. Anyone know what the shirt looks like?

Which shirts are you talking about? I ordered mine from Troy's site & bought a couple of his shirts. I ordered a polo shirt & T-shirt. The shirts are very nice.
