Default variable pressure power steering pump?

Hey I have a 68 Camaro and am looking at my options for a powersteering pump. Seems I have cooked mine and wanted to look into a 'fancy' pump that may offer better road feel. Not sure really what is out there.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks guys!

We sell ones from Lee Engineering. They are blueprinted and re-worked to provide great steering feel, and can be had in Type II config or in the old school saginaw pump. I'd look at upgrading the box, lines, pump and reservoir since you autocross it.

Default curious

how are they reworked? Do they produce less pressure? That would be ideal for me.

Box is a new 2 turn lock to lock unit and I am using earls lines with it. I plan to add a cooler during this project since the lines might need to be changed to accommodate a different pump.

Tyler corect me if I am wrong, but Liz I believe the steering feel you are after is best obtained by the valving in the steering box. Also just in case you ever plan on using a hydratech booster, I heard they don't work good with the low pressure pumps. Good luck and I hope your back on the road soon!
