Gregg, thanks for sticking around last night, and well into the not quite so early morning. Those tires wouldn't look anywhere near as nice without you and your patent piece of cardboard. I don't think the fight would have lasted as long without all the caffeine you provided.
A couple weeks from now I guess we'll start resolving all the issues and maybe even have a talk with the interior guy because he never did a test fit on 75% percent of the parts he could have, which meant it took 5 hours just to try and fit the dash. The only parts that really fit were the back seats and those were done after the car left him. I ran around all over socal picking up parts for him, that he needed yesterday and wouldn't start without, then when he got them they just sat in the trunk until it left. The damn doors don't fit because he never even mocked up the sill plates with everything else in place. I'm not bitter in the the least

It will all look good, and he did a pretty good job covering everything, but I'm seriously thinking of taking the car elsewhere, just because I don't want to listen to him whine about having to make things fit. That is his job.
I'm only upset the car isn't going because I've never seen a group of guys work so hard, and because Vintage air stepped up to sponsor the car. Their work deserves to be there. Everyday last week, when Brad would finish something he would jokingly ask if I was proud of what he made. Well, when the car makes its first public appearance, I want the guys to be proud of what they made.
I will also say the shop's valiant effort looks to have garnered them a bit of future ink thanks to Steve, who stuck around as long as he could, by the way.
Tomorrow I think we might role it outside in the sunlight for the first time ever and see what the color looks like. Then its off to Vegas
Matt
