Yeah, we're shooting for SEMA. We're going to be parked next to Bad Penny in the Source Interlink booth. It is going to be deja vu for the next month for us, except hopefully we make it this time lol.

More pics to come soon. The jams got painted yesterday, so when the car goes together it is going to be for the final time.

Also, before I forget to say anything, I want to thank Kyle and Stacy Tucker who took the time to call us yesterday even though we didn't win the DSE sponsored Muscle Machine of the Year award. It was exceptionally nice of them to remember us, and great to know that they seemed genuinely happy that we were using their products for their intended purpose. Thanks guys!

Matt

I would love to have a hood like this in carbon *cough*Tyler*cough*

I knew that connection was going to be inevitable . I've been wanting to do a hood for a while and was originally toying with a vent in the front, a la the Corvette C5R but then decided to go the other way when I saw the first photos of the Ferrari 599 GTO's hood and figured something like that would be easier to make and look more at home on a '69, especially on a car that already had the side "gills" opened up. For a while I thought of doing both, but figured it would be too busy. It certainly would have looked more SCARish if we'd done both ideas. To me SCAR's hood looks like it could have been the brainchild of Steve Saleen of Mustang tuning fame, who never met a gill or vent he didn't love. It just doesn't flow with the rest of the car, and however intentional that decision was (black hood on an orange car) it really annoys my eye. Sorry for the mini rant. It just got the better of me.

Hey, how do you feel about signing a "please make this a carbon fiber part" petition?
