I agree that being black will make a big difference in the look. Is the receiver hitch tube for strapping the car down or? Also, what cost will you have using that wiring system, I was looking into it but I thought it was about 4 times the cost of others out there?? And do you like it?

It's to pull a trailer with. One of those small trailers that a set of 4 slicks can fit on for track days and autocross.

I think I have somewhere around $3k in the InfinityBox set up. Yes it cost a lot more than other systems, but I liked what I could do with it such as the load limit shut off of the inMotion control and the iPad integration. Its pretty much endless possibilities to what you can control with it.

Small update as I haven't done much with the car. Worked a deal with a friend for some parts I want which means big changes are coming to the car very soon and I'll have quite a few parts listed for sale too.

As I'm running modern door latches I found stock door handles won't work with them. After a lot of thinking about it I decided to go with electric handles and vette latches. I settled on the Lokar handles, but needed finger pockets.

To make the finger pockets I cut some MDF to the shape I wanted then started to pound out some metal.

After I got it roughed out I smoothed everything out with the planishing hammer and made the lines a little more crisp with the bead roller.

I think they'll look perfect with the overall look of this car.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy with how they came out. I think I'm going to hold off on cutting the doors until I get an English wheel so I can make sure I have the right slight curve in the metal.

I'm looking forward to starting on the new changes.
