Default Garage Makeover

I know its small but its all I have.

After a 2 days of work here is where I stand making some progress on the garage. I had left over off white paint which helped brighted the room up after I removed the shelving.

Plans
I have to modify my Bench to fit my new air compressor which arrives next week.

I have a buddy who has a large tool box, he wants to donate to me. After I get that moved in I'm going to build some cabinets up high out of the way.

I'm having an electrician come in next week to add some lights, two 220 and probably a few 120 outlets.

And last but not least fill in the holes on the wall and give it some paint.

Before

After-sorry crappy Iphone pictures I'll take some better ones tomorrow.

The compressor is in, I had the electrician wire it today and add a 220 outlet for the welder so I can use it to full potential now. I held off on the lighting for now electricians make a lot more around here than they do back in small town Minnesota!!

I made a trip to Harbor Freight and picked up a die grinder and 3 inch cut off wheel. Picked up a decent but not top dollar DA from Home Depot. I plan to buy the rest of the tools as I see needed. Any must have air tools? I have a paint gun on the way via donation so I'm holding out there.

I'll post some pics soon.

That's way more room than I've built some cars in!

As long as it's DRY... you got it going on!

John if thats an incandesent light bulb in your garage you can do what I did. I went to Homedepot and bought a compact flourecent bulb 300 watts and only uses 68 watts of power. My garage is 22x26 and I have 2 of them in there and its plenty of light to work. There are guy over on Garage journal using 2 of them screwed into a Y adapter. They are about $13 Ea but they will be great until you have the money to do your lighting. I hope this helps you out.

Wayne I'll definately look into that lighting.

So now I have this massive air compressor, I've got it set up and running. I am looking at filter systems to run off the tank prior to the air hose. What is a good set up? I dont need a huge dryer Im not going to be doing any show cars in the garage. If I paint anything its going to be jams, firewall, underbody, and primering stuff any suggestions?

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Dont mind the mess the new tool box is getting picked up today
