looking for some home ideas

I have 2 more years and I can sell this house, I am going to remodel it so I can get the $$ to buy me and the wife a huge shop and put an apartment in it , a house does us no good ! we need shop space, she does upholstery and I do the columns, my shop in the back is getting smaller by the day for me and I need more space, the wood on the front is original from '86 and when I replace the windows I want to put new wood on the front, how do you guys think this log siding would look finished in natural with clear ? ya aint gonna hurt my feelings if you say no so please give me a real honest opinion as I am going to sell it and it has to look great for the next person , I have had it for almost 10 years and want something else !! I plan on leaving the rock as it matches the fireplace

Ahhem... Just clearing my throat...did you say ice as in your complaining that Florida had some crap weather. We had the coldest winter in 30 yrs here...what ever you had would have been like a vacation for us..lol and yeah I think that the house would look good with the siding a lighter color

Well, I always love the log/cedar siding, but to make a good judgment I gotta ask what color is the roof? It looks to be dark under the step up

the roof is a dark brown metal, that was one reason I bought it , a lifetime roof basicly, I am tossing around painting all of it light tan colors and replacing the lower panels, it has to be lighter it is just to dark, no, no complaints about the weather here, I am only going to move maybe 8-10 miles away from where I am now, I know of 2 different buildings that can be bought only just a few miles from here

Well if it's dark Brown roof, then the siding definitely needs to be a light color. But if you're going to change the roof color then a really light colored log wouldn't look as good as a medium colored log. So, what's it gonna be? LoL!
