Default Lateral-G Sema party 2014 poll and feedback

As most of you are aware, we had a Lateral-G Meet and Greet during Sema week 2013 at Margaritaville. I would appreciate those of you that attended giving feedback in regards to the get together. We had approximately 130 people attending the event, held on the second floor in a private room at Margaritaville. The room holds 150 people max, so we were close to capacity.

It's time to get the room locked down for this years Sema event, and we're trying to decide on doing the same room or opting for the third floor which holds up to 300 people. It's more expensive obviously, so we need to find out how many are planning on attending to figure out how much room we need. We'd also love to hear feedback from those who attended last years event, to see if you liked the venue and food.

The advantage of the second floor is you're inside with one wall all windows for a nice view of the strip. Weather and temps don't matter. But it is limited to 150 people max.

The third floor handles double the people, 300 max. It's open, no ceiling with a great view of the strip. The disadvantage would be if it rained or was real cold, which can happen in Vegas in November. They do provide heaters, and claim that if it's cold out the heaters are plenty to keep everyone comfortable. However if it rains ...

We hold our meet and greet on Wednesday of Sema week, so this year it's be held on 11-5-14, from 7pm to 10pm. It's a casual setup with an all you can eat fajita bar going all night, and our own private bar and hostesses. Drinks are on you, but the food is included in the $25 price. You are free to bounce from table to table meeting old friends and making new ones. It's a great way to finally meet people you interact with on Lateral-G all year.

So basically, let us know if you will be at Sema this year and plan to make the party. The total will kind of guide us in regards to room choice. Here's a slideshow of last years event to give you an idea of what is going on.

You know there is a kick ass mexican food place not to far from the strip that one of my customers takes us to every time. I wonder if we could improve food quality and lower the price by going some where off the strip. Or is the strip convinience worth the cost.

I just go for the people.

The food or the place --- whatever, doesn't make much difference to me.

We always get such a nice friendly, warm, welcome......

2013 get together was far better than the previous years.
I would say keep it the same for now. Maybe in a few more years we might out grow it, and need a bigger place.
