Default My Barn Shop

We built this back barn in 2003, it's a 24X40.
The original intent was to raise Holstein calves, store hay, and a tractor. As my daughters got older we raised horses, they grew up, moved away, we went back to calves.

Over the years I have enclosed the front, divided off half for working on cars, added a 16x40 overhang to protect my daughter Kasey's Fairline, and a kennel for our GSD.

A few weeks ago my wife and I cleared out the unfinished side an had a 12x20 slab put in. We then built a 8x20 room for a small machine shop, and the rest will be for calves.

Here are a few "old" pictures I dug up.

Just to the right of that blue tarp is the calf area. Kasey's 63 Fairline under the tarp.

Inside, on "MY" side...Some older pictures

The side getting modified...

The Future ...

And some current in progress...

framing, insulating, sheathing, and painting. Most of the conduit is done too...

This side is mostly painted now, but I didn't get the picture :-)

Very nice! Seems like a lots of new shops (or shop additions) going on lately. I have something in the works for me as well, just not ready to show any progress on it yet.

Do you have a way to heat the finished areas of the shop?

Thanks, yes I heat it with a 220 heater, just about right for the size.

Looking forward to sewing your shop too.
