Default thoughts

so I am getting close on my wheels and tires and I was wondering after lots of reading and emailing people, I am still finding a lot of rubbing issues with the ridetech tru turn even on 18x9 18x9.5 wheels and a 265 tires. As my car will be 99% street driven and I do not want to cut my inner fenders. Will will a 255/40 front tire work with a 315/30 rear?

here are some measurements from falken

255/40R18 95W 28233844 9.0 8.5 - 10.0 25.9 10.3 794 9.4 8 28 51 1521 BLT -

315/30R18 98W 28233848 11.0 10.5 - 11.5 25.5 12.6 813 11.7 8 32 51 1653 BLT -

Paul it looks like that front tire is taller than the rear. Not sure you want that...

I just put 255/40R18 on the 69 I am building for my wife and they look fine. 8.5" wheel with 5.5 backspacing and Tru-turn.

I just finished a 67 Camaro with full ridetech suspension, tru-turn, with forgelines and 265/35-18 bfg rival up front, no rubbing. I am running 1 degree of negative camber as well.

I'm ordering Forgeline GA3's very soon for my 69 Camaro with tru-turn and the Ridetech level 2 suspension. What backspacing and wheel size did you use? What brake package?

Thanks, Jayson

18x9 with 6.125 bs I think. Have to double check. Wilwood 14" aero brakes. I can quote all of it if you wish. I am direct top level dealer with most all the manufacturers including Ridetech, Wilwood and Forgeline.

ugh I was all set on a 5.5 front back spacing per ridetech recommendation. seeing 6.125 makes me rethink it all. I am running the baer pro + brakes.
