Default Temporary paint protection film

I see a lot of guys/shops using the disposable plastic films on their cars during assembly, motor work, interior work etc to help protect the paint, door edges etc---- I've seen some that are the clear blue tint and some that are solid white. I'm assuming this is the generic carpet protection film you can buy online etc ?

In the past I've just used masking tape, but that's a PITA to cover larger areas

Any suggestions? I want to to stick but not be a huge PITA to remove either

This is the best and cheapest stuff

3M Welding and Spark Deflection Paper, 05916, 24 in x 150 ft,Brown https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PENDAK...9WZN3S147BYWDM

Xpel also makes one but it’s more expensive and I don’t think it’s as thick as the 3m welding paper.

FWIW I left the 3M stuff on WAY longer than it says to with no issue. Simple Green removed the left over adhesive residue pretty easily too.

Thanks guys...
I've seen the 3M welding paper used a lot during fabrication to help with welding sparks etc... probably a bit hard core for what I'm looking for

The other stuff looks like some good options.... still a bit pricey. For my application its going to be more for protecting the paint while its at the interior shop, so more a temporary rather than longer for track days and long term protection.

This is the same as what I've used in the past.
