At first I was all for a watts link but, I'm flexible.
Lets see what you got watts links or panhard bars.
I'm lookin for ideas for my truck once I get the 4-link/ladder bars all done.
Still up in the air about ladders or links. Trying to get in touch with the shop now.
So, if you gottem postem. Lets see from all directions.
What are your questions regarding? A longer panhard will work just find, the longer it is the less side to side movement you have with the axle through-out travel. But it's simpler and cheaper.
A watts is more expensive and "complicated" but keeps the rear end perfectly centered and allows absolutely no side to side movement through-out travel, besides bushing flex.

Hey whats up man.
Hoping DMC can squeeze me in. I have yet to get in touch with him.
You know I wanted a panhard for the reasons you have said but saw some pretty nice custom made watts links.
I'm more than likely going with a panhard for the simplicity and clutter free look. Probably SDs.
I don't have a lot of great shots of mine, but here they are anyway
4 Link with panhard. It could be a a longer panhard although that means moving the shock, either way sideways movement will happen but it should be OK.

Watt's links are superior to Panhard rods... HOWEVER.. PHRs are easier to install, easier to package and for most people completely adequate for keeping the rearend centered.
Sort of depends what your goals are...

i installed my watts in 2.5 hours and it cost alittle over 500 dollars for the complete setup... i dont see ot getting easier or cheaper than that with a panhard....
and i LOVE what it did for my handling, it keeps teh roll center fixed and resolved all the funnny issues i used to have with the rear when i really got on the car,
