Default Just watched Overhaulin and have a question

Ok I just watched Overhaulin and was wondering how do you lock your doors when you remove the outer door locks? I like the idea and how it cleans up the outside and my Camaro just might get that done also.
Thanks,
Mike

keyless entry like on newer cars. you could also shave your door handles and it wouldn't really matter

When you go keyless make sure you leave a manual way to get to the battery...dead battery = locked car....

One thing to consider before you shave those door handles...if you ever intend to take your car to the track (dragstrip or road course) even once in a while just for fun, you should expect to be kicked out of tech inspection, since the safety folks will be (rightly) concerned about their ability to easily extricate you from the car in the event of an emergency.

I have my door handles and locks shaved and did not realize the drag racing problem until after it was done. What happens if you do have door handles but you lock your doors? In that case some one will have to reach in the car to get the door open anyway or is there a rule about not locking your doors as well? If you have on your seatbelt again someone has to unhook it for you to get out of the car as well. I say it is profiling and unfair to not let me race because I did not think ahead and check it out before I modified the car. Well not really but I do feel bad that I screwed up and can’t race but I am sure it makes the wife happy!
