Default fuel tank vent Leaking / misting

Is it normal for some fuel to mist out of a fuel vent? Im running the Finch performance dual vent system that is mounted in my trunk and after going on for some spirited driving and parking the car you can hear and see fuel mist coming out of the vent. Any idea what it could be? 67 camaro ls3, Ricks notched corner tank with new camaro fuel pump.

FYI we have this system on 2 other cars and experiencing the same thing.

Not ideal, but it's tough to vent these tanks. Where did you install the vent?

Perfect place... It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure I gave up on Rick's vent and had my own bigger bung welded close to the top of the tank. I then ran it to a radiator type overflow at the bottom bung and vented it to a K&N filter through the top bung. Then out of the trunk and never had a problem after. The diameter of your vent could be your problem.

What is the fuel level in the tank? Is the tank hot?

Doesn't this imply that something is heating the fuel? Exhaust and/or fuel pump?

Fuel mist spraying out near the exhaust would worry me.

Tank isnt hot. I could put my ear against the tank right after driving it. You can hear the fuel gurgling which is most likely the air coming out of my fuel vent hurling the gas as the gas comes back down. Overall I think it's the location of the return bung line bung / vent bung.

I have a vent port on my ridetech gas cap filler tube. Maybe I'll run an additional line to it and filter?

Maybe the volume of the dual vent system holder isn't enough and I could run a T out of the gas tank and then run two lines to the fuel tank? Double the fuel capacity of the overflow but does this fix it or prolong it?
