Default It's decided.. find me a Fairlane :) -- PHR project car

Talked it over with the big bosses and a Fairlane sounds like a cool project. Bigger than a Mustang and smaller than a Galaxy. Though of Comets, Cougars, Maverics and Falcons but they are all pretty much Mustangs of a different shape.

Besides, I've always wanted to do a "bigger" car

So keep you eyes open for clean '67 Fairlanes ('66 is my second choice). The budget is between $6k and $11k for the starter car. I could find one on the cheap but this isn't Car Craft and I don't want to jerk around with a basket case.

Something like this would be at the low end of condition I would want:

Perferably something like this:

What are the major differences between the two years?

Thoughts on this one?

It's all original with a 289.. was a 500 just a trim package? Origianl paint and all that with only 40k miles on it. Seems a bit on the expensive side but I'm not up on Fairlane pricing. Told it runs great but the original paint is starting to wear through (surface rust). No evidence of accidents or repair.

Thoughts?

A mint "grandma" car would be perfect.. I'm thinking a NASCAR theme to it..

67 Fairlane sounds like a cool project. I always liked the big block Fairlanes. A while back a guy I know bought a mint Grandpa Fairlane cheap mint still with orig paint and all.

This one is a little more than you wanted to spend but may be worth a look.

It probably is rougher than you want but call Neil at 435-770-3337 He had one at his place, But it needs interior paint engine Im sure, But I think it was complete and rust free, probably 2-2500 from him. I did not look at it that close I was buying a 72 ss 402 chevelle and was looking at it closer at the time. He has a ton of crap from a Low mile 69 daytona Real 70 hemi cuda ls-6 cars and much more and one great guy to deal with.
