Default F.A.S.T. EFI Technical Forum

If you’re like me when it comes to EFI, I can always use the experts help.
Unfortunately, FAST shutdown their forum many moons ago.
I just found a new FAST forum where industry experts are engaged in.
It’s on Facebook. Ugh.
The site is FAST XFI 2.0 User Support TheEFIStore.com | Facebook

There are 978 members and several industry experts on this forum.

Thx... just joined. FAST XFI is a dying market share system so it's hard to find any guys that know how to tune and utilize it. .... but I'm not redoing my car...

sure wish these car forum would get as simple as FB, as FB is killing them. Yes FAST is miserable to get through to :-( however always helpful when successful. After Edlebrock bought next to impossible to get through........

If you want to search for an answer to a question the forums are far superior, with large databases of info that are searchable. If you want to ask a question social media works well, as long as someone can and will answer your question.

Default no spark

Any suggestions welcome that are helpful. FAST 303000, FAST dual sync distributor and FAST E-6 ign controller. No spark, E-6 has red light when powered, no flash as should when cranking. the ECU shows all proper lighting and no fault codes on the Sportsman. All new system, have checked what I know and read in the trouble shooting guides, no luck...........

the E-6 and system was due to voltage not getting to it, MY FAULT..

E-85, suggested AF ratio to start with on 572CI naturally aspirated multiport, thanks for any suggestions

thought I replied to your suggestion, yes I am in contact with a couple of the members on there, very helpful. Always very helpful at the FAST site when ya have time to wait for answer on phone. getting closer, finally got the IAC and the actual gap correct for throttle bodies for idling, hoping timing is off? as it dies when engaging trans even at 1200 RPM, super loose converter, so sure that is not it. have many thing to recheck as I learn. Thanks again

As far as getting your throttle blades set, this is my method. The main thing is you don't want the IAC to be opened a bunch just to get the car to idle at temp with no load. Then you don't have anything left for load situations like the a/c turning on, or higher cold idle, etc. First, get the engine fully warmed. Shut off any idle timing compensation (timing trim) and set the idle speed to something well below your desired speed and what it will even idle at, like say 400 rpm. Also make sure all the timing tables around the idle speed are the same, so it's not bouncing back and forth between tables with different timing amounts.

Fire it up and set the throttle blade opening so the engine is at your normal idle speed, say 900 rpm or whatever it will be idling at normally. That way, the throttle body will have the right amount of air bypass to idle the engine without the IAC getting involved when it's warm. You'll then have full use of the IAC when you need it; cold start, putting in gear, a/c or other load kicks in, etc. Reset your TPS settings for idle, turn the timing trim back on, and re-adjust any timing tables you may have changed and you should be good to go.
