i know its been asked a million times.. but im really wondering what to buy.. a currie track9 or a currie 12 bolt for the malibu... im pretty sure that my 29 year old 10 bolt wont take easy to a 500+ hp ls1, and 285 wide soft tires...
the track 9 is nascar cool.. and indestructable... the 12 bolt from currie looks oem, ahd has the same 9 inch ford housing ends as the track9.. so the argument of c-clips is non existent...
so go fro the nascar pedigree track9.. or go with the added efficiency, and oem looks (im not sure what the weight difference is) a 33 spline 12 bolt is propably equally bulletproof

I recently bought a Moser M9 Fabricated housing and it seems to be a decent piece for the money. I got a real good deal on it and added some braces and backbrace myself. I have pics on another thread if your interested.
thats basically a 9 inch in a super cool housing... but whats the upside of running that over a track9? wieght?? is it stiffer??

I have no comparison comments but Stielow has been using exclusively Currie rears and we are using one in my current Camaro project. They are nice guys and have been great to deal with.
The budget set up for you is look for a 8.5" rear out of a GN. They can be found for $1000 to $1200, and I have a lot of friends holding that much power. Or is you must, I would do a 12 bolt myself, but that's just my preference.
