Default Lookin' @ a Malibu

Taking the family on a trip to check out a '65 Malibu SS tomorrow. The car needs a total restore but the price isn't too bad so hopefully I can strike a deal if its worth dealing for.

Ever since I sold my '69 Camaro, I miss having someihing in the garage to mess with. Since my son is almost 8 months now it can be a future father son project. Who knows by the time its ready for the powertrain it may have a hybrid engine in it...LOL or just leave the holes in the floors and ride "Flintstone Style". I guess I am getting ahead of myself and better wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Cool... we just finished repairing all the holes in our '65s floor and trunk, and we're doing the rear trunk filler panel next. We used Panel Bond to repair one quarter, and the other quarter install is next week. These are cool cars to work on, pretty simple. Check out Jody's masterpiece for inspiration!

Yeah Jody's car is Bad A$$, that is why I am a little more drawn to this one, you really dont see a lot of the 64-65's out there. I plan on keeping an eye on the progress of your build.

Default Go get it!

Todds69,

After building \ owning several Camaros I recently picked up a 64 Chevelle and I love it. Here are some pics:

http://www.fototime.com/inv/2365072DE71EB70

To really see these pics well you need to click on any one pic to start a slide show of 5X8 pics and then you can click on any 5X8 pic to see it full screen.

And, as for the father son project idea.....great plan. I built a 67 Camaro with my (at the time) 15 year old daughter and it was a hoot.

Take care,
Chris

Thanks Chris,

Sweet ride, love the interior, that is something this car does not have is interior. Are those factory buckets or aftermarket?

Thanks Todd

Default Chevelle seats

Todd,

The seats are after-market. The entire interior for the car was done by a SoCal shop called J&B Interiors. If you would like more information or some specific interior shots just let me know.

Take care,
Chris
