Default Should I trade my motor for this?

I have a 2000 LS1/T56 motor swap out of a camaro SS. Lots of the parts are polished since Ive been bored in the garage. Autokraft pan, S&P plates, prothane mounts. All new gaskets, etc. very very clean.

Should I trade for a 0 miles fully built 406ci with these parts in it:
Seasoned 400 block bored .030 over, desirable 509 casting number.
Titan forged crank, manley h beam forged 6inch rods, weisco forged
pistons 11.6:1 w/ 64cc, the mains were converted from 2bolt to 4 bolt
with billet splayed caps and arp studs, Arp head studs, Canfield heads
cryod ported refreshed w BB springs and titanium retainers, 1.5 7/16
crane gold rockers, .649 lift lunati solid roller cam and lifters,
fluid damper, sfi flex plate, super victor intake, 950hp holley carb,
comes on a rolling engine stand. ..........Also has a TH400 tranny

Since Im not a motor guy and have no idea what the other motor means with all that stuff in there Im just trying to find out if its worth it for me to trade.

depends on what you want out of your car..

if you want reliability and drivability the keep the ls1

if you want that oldschool sound and bad gas mileage..

get the 406.

i say keep the ls1.. its a great engine to start with.

Okay I will say it. Yes, make the trade.

But before anyone can really answer - what are your plans for the car/motor and usage? If it's a weekend car and won't be taken on long trips and more of a street bruiser with low gears and the TH400, sure.

But if you want daily drivability, decent mileage, lower maintenane, and a lot less power (as they are configured now) keep the LS1.

Heck, the LS1 is already getting to be a dated engine! What are we up to these days, like LS50 already?!

You mean you havent hauled that motor home yet HEllll yes trade sounds like a great lil motor and those 400's are getting pretty hard to find!
